Speaker Mitch Smith, LCSW-C
Speaker Mitch Smith
specializes in hypnosis
therapy. He is board certified
and has practiced this field for
23 years. Hypnotic trance can
occur spontaneously in daily
life, in which people go in and
out of a hypnotic state, as many
do driving long distances on a
highway. Professional hypnosis
is a trained state of awareness
of this state.
Among the uses of hypnosis
are relaxation-response, stress
management, self-talk coding and
special problems involving
weight reduction, stopping
smoking and even improving
sports performance (such as for
golfers).
