Club Meeting July 1
Rotary minutes from 7/8/09
• Rosemary Wright gave the
blessing
• Jonathan Zawacki gave us the
Rotary Minute
• There were several happy
dollars
• Cal invited all members to
join him at the Extreme Makeover
for small Rotary clubs to be
offered Monday July 20 5-8:30 PM
(happy hour 5-6:30, meeting 6:
30- 8:30) at the Hilton Garden
Inn 8241 Snowden River Pkwy,
Columbia, MD 21045. It is
probably a good idea to get some
feedback from this before
deciding whether to hire a
strategic planner for our club
• Cal asked for some input about
hiring a strategic planner for
our club and several members
expressed some great points for
and against doing so
• John M. gave us an update on
sales at last weekend FRF event
• George B mentioned that there
may be an upcoming opportunity
for our club to run a one day
beer garden at a local oyster
fest. Planning is still in the
works and George will update us
as details become available.
Please consider whether you
would be willing to participate
in something like this.
• Guest speaker today was Bill
Jones, BRAC Coordinator for
Baltimore County, and he gave us
an update as to where it all is
and when the influx of people
may start.
• I think George B won the 50/50

consultations to anyone
interested in learning more
about it.
F. We had two guests today, Dale
Howard from the Montgomery
Village breakfast club in
Gaithersburg and he brought
local Catonsville resident Tom
Gross who owns Fireside Stone
and Patio in Clarkesville.
Anyone know Tom personally? I
did not have a chance to get his
